2014 Risorgimento Award - Mayo Clinic
DI presented this award to the Mayo Clinic and accepted by Dr. Doug Wood, Medical Director of the Mayo Clinic, in recognition of the organization’s significant contributions in the fields of medicine and science that have transformed the healthcare industry for more than 150 years.

2013 Risorgimento Award – National Geographic
This award was accepted by Melina Bellows, the Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Books, Kids and Family at National Geographic, in recognition of the organization’s stewardship of our planet through research, exploration and education for 125 years.
2013 Thomas Camerlo Award - Valerie Conroy – Posthumously
Val (fourth from the left) served the DI program with great dedication, knowledge of volunteerism, professionalism and strategic vision. She enthusiastically advocated for children to engage in creative experiences in order to challenge their imaginations.

This award was accepted by Dr. Roosevelt Johnson, Deputy Associate Administrator for Education, in recognition that NASA has been positively influencing learners for generations.
