Sarah Lyon - Founder of the DI Guasmo Sur Project
Sarah Lyon began participating in Destination Imagination in 4th grade and competed throughout high school. Her team went to Global Finals twice, tying for sixth place and winning the Da Vinci award the first year and winning sixth place the second year. After nine years as a team member, Sarah coached a middle school DI team from Williamstown, MA for four years. Beginning in her sophomore year in high school, Sarah began working with Adopta Una Familia Inc. and traveled to Guasmo Sur every summer for three years to help construct houses. During the summer of 2011 she worked with CASF (Creation of Students Without Borders, a sub-program of AUF, Inc) as their summer intern and ran a month long DI program with the students. Sarah graduated from Williams College in 2013 with a major in Art History, a concentration in International Studies on a Latin American Tract, and a certificate in Spanish. She currently lives in Guasmo Sur, working on the Destination Imagination Guasmo Sur Project (DIGS) with community members.
