Students from kindergarten through university level participate in the Destination Imagination Challenge Program.
The following are the age/grade requirements to participate in the 2015-16 Destination Imagination Challenge Program:
Kindergarten-5th grade (No student born before June 15, 2004)
6th-8th Grade (No student born before June 15, 2001)
9th-12th Grade (No student born before June 15, 1997)
Preschool through 2nd grade
College & University Level
Full-time, post-secondary students enrolled in college, university, trade, or technical school or in the military. College-bound high school seniors who are taking accredited courses offered by a college or university that will qualify for course credit when entering higher education.

There are seven new Destination Imagination Challenges to choose from each year. The areas of focus include: Technical, Scientific, Fine Arts, Improvisational, Structural and Service Learning. There is also a non-competitive Early Learning Challenge that allows participants to build social and problem solving skills.
