DIcor®

DIcor is Destination ImagiNation’s answer to the frequent comment: “I wish you could teach my colleagues at work what you teach these kids [about creative problem solving].” Since its launch in 2004, DIcor has been engaged by several of North America’s major corporations, including General Electric, Eastman Chemical, Velcro USA Inc., HP, Kellogg’s, PepsiCo and Deloitte. The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, School of Business has incorporated the DIcor curriculum into its Executive Development Program and its MBA program.

DIcor participants first discover their creative problem-solving preferences and then take part in an active, hands-on practice of the generating and focusing tools associated with creative problem solving. Ultimately, DIcor participants learn that it is not “if” you are creative, but rather “how” you are creative. In the world of business where innovation is key, DIcor enhances a person’s, a team’s or a corporation’s ability to produce creative ideas that work!

DIcor workshops exist in half day, one day and two day sessions. The presentations include the VIEW instrument, generating and focusing tools, a healthy dose of Instant Challenges, and good old-fashioned Destination ImagiNation fun – all applied to the corporate environment. Class sizes average 25-30 people, and are held “on site” at the customer’s location.
