Wendy Niemann is responsible for developing and managing philanthropic relationships to support DI’s mission to inspire and equip our global community of learners, and next generation of innovators and leaders, to utilize diverse approaches in applying 21st century skills and creativity.
Wendy has more than 15 years of highly successful customer relationship management experience spanning a broad range of private industries including retail, hospitality, non-profit and aerospace. Before joining Destination Imagination, she started her Customer Relations Consulting Firm, Whispers Echo LLC. As the Marketing and Communications Coordinator for SSC Universal Space Network, a commercial ground station company founded by Apollo 12 Astronaut Pete Conrad, Wendy developed and implemented domestic and international customer service programs that improved the customer experience to achieve service excellence and increase customer loyalty. Before joining SSC Universal Space Network, Wendy was the Customer Service Manager for Marriott ExecuStay, Marriott International’s corporate housing brand, where she created and led customer service initiatives that became part of the ExecuStay brand’s national customer service model. While at Marriott ExecuStay, Wendy received recognition for her outstanding achievements and exemplary commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction with the “Marriott Spirit to Serve” award. She is also a member of the Public Relations Society of America.
In addition to being an accomplished International style ballroom dancer and teacher, Wendy enjoys being outdoors, horseback riding, hiking, kayaking, traveling and most importantly, spending time with her family, friends and pets.
