Students Recognized for Participation in the 2017 DI CEO Challenge

On Saturday, May 27, dozens of Destination Imagination (DI) teams were recognized for successfully completing the 2017 CEO Challenge. For this Challenge, teams were tasked with demonstrating their knowledge of project management—a skill all Destination Imagination teams use when planning, designing and building their Team Challenge solutions—through an online exam sponsored by Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF). Two hundred and sixty-six DI teams participated in the CEO Challenge, with 210 teams passing the exam with a 70-percent or higher. All students who passed the exam earned their project management digital badge, which can be shared with colleges and potential employers.

Adam Chen, a 17-year-old student from Washington who has participated in DI for eight years, scored the only 100-percent on the exam. At the CEO Challenge reception, which took place at Global Finals 2017, he addressed and congratulated all of the teams that participated this year.

Destination Imagination would like to thank PMIEF for its support of our programs and for helping DI students strengthen their project management skills throughout each DI season with its education resources for teams.
