Anthony Brossi holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical and nuclear engineering and a master’s degree in energy engineering, both from UMass Lowell. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in engineering management from Northeastern University. Anthony has held positions in pharmaceutical research and fire protection engineering for nuclear plants. In his current role with AbbVie Bioresearch Center, he identifies, designs and implements energy improvement projects that help reduce environmental impacts. Of the skills he learned in Destination Imagination, he says, “The ability to find new and unique ways to solve problems is something that we as engineers use every day.” Anthony is actively involved as a DI volunteer in Massachusetts, with emphasis on Instant Challenge—a quick, creative and critical thinking exercise that mirrors the real-time teamwork and problem solving that are so vital in his profession.
