The Destination Imagination Score Room ICM team is currently seeking 2–3 volunteers to help support DI Score Rooms during the 2026–2027 season. Serving on the Score Room team is a great way to stay connected to DI, contribute your skills, and support tournaments behind the scenes.

What Score Room Team Members Do
As a member of the Score Room team, you’ll assist Score Room ICMs in one or more of the following ways:
- Creating Team Challenge and/or Instant Challenge files to support the Resource Area, Classic Scoring Program, Web Scoring Program, and Mobile Client
- Testing score entry as an Appraiser to ensure calculations, team placements, and reports function correctly before public release
- Creating and/or editing documentation for using various scoring platforms across roles, including Appraisers, Head Appraisers, Challenge Masters, and Tournament Directors
Timeline & Time Commitment
This is a one-year volunteer term, with the option to renew for future seasons. The Score Room team works year-round to support the scoring needs of DI Headquarters.
- July–November: Approximately 5–10 hours per week
- December–June: Up to 5 hours per week
- Weekly meeting: One hour per week (currently Wednesdays, 12–1 p.m. Eastern)
- Remaining work is completed asynchronously
This position may include travel to Global Finals 2027, to be determined at a later date.
Experience
No previous Score Room experience is required.
Preferred (but Not Required) Skills
- Programming experience
- Knowledge of computer languages
- Basic computer skills (word processing, data entry, etc.)
- Technical writing
- Copy editing
- Quality assurance experience
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older by April 1, 2026
- Must provide your own computer and related equipment
Important Notes
This is a volunteer position; there is no monetary compensation. All application materials must be submitted together and received by April 1, 2026.
If selected, applicants may not serve as a Team Manager during the 2026–2027 season. Preference will be given to applicants who are not currently serving as Regional Directors, Affiliate Directors, or Tournament Directors during that season.
