Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

DI Texas team, The Timekeepers, poses for a photo for the Hats On For Creativity challenge

This year was one that required a bit of teamwork and a whole lot of creativity. As a Secondary Level Destination Imagination team from The Academy of Science and Technology in Woodlands, Texas, we are used to working together to get the job done. DI meetings in a socially-distant world? We got that covered! From being named Global Finals winners in the Global Finals 2020 Virtual Tournament to participating as a team in the DI Run the World Virtual 5K this summer, we found plenty of new and creative ways to have fun and to continue to work together. We are always looking for ways to support Destination Imagination just like DI has always found ways to support students like us around the world with their extraordinary educational experiences. We are always willing to put our Hats On For Creativity and we hope you are too.

This holiday season, Destination Imagination is challenging you to once again put on your ‘giving hat’ and participate in the Hats On For Creativity challenge!

Starting now until the end of the year (December 31 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time), you can participate in the Hats On For Creativity challenge with these 3 simple steps:

  1. Make a tax-deductible donation of any amount to Destination Imagination, Inc. online, or by mail, email or phone.
  2. Post a photo of yourself wearing your favorite hat on social media along with a reason why you put your hat on for creativity using the hashtag #HatsOnForCreativity. There are no rules for the hat that you wear!
  3. Challenge 2 people to participate in the #HatsOnForCreativity challenge by tagging them in your photo.

For everything DI has done for us, our team was eager to give back. Because despite these times of uncertainty, division, and restriction, DI has helped our team grow in perseverance, unity, and creativity. We want to ensure that DI continues to be available for students around the world so that everyone can learn to express themselves through their personal creativity style. We love DI and that’s why we made these hats to spell it out for the world. We put our ‘Hats On For Creativity’ – will you?

We would like to formally challenge Kate Nylander, Chair of the Alumni Council and Kelly Joniecas, Team Manager of the DI Janes, as the next people to put their ‘Hat On For Creativity!’

Sincerely,

The Timekeepers
